The 21-Day Lead Guarantee: Why I’m One of the Only Remodeling Marketers Putting Money Behind My Setup Fee

Try this. Call any marketing agency that pitches remodeling businesses. Ask them point blank: “If you don’t deliver a qualified lead in the first 30 days, what happens?”

Listen carefully to the answer.

You’ll hear a lot of things. “Marketing takes time to ramp up.” “We need 90 days to optimize.” “There’s a learning period.” “Results compound after the first quarter.”

What you won’t hear, almost ever, is: “If we don’t deliver, you get your money back.”

That’s not an accident. That’s the entire industry.

I built the BADASS Growth Engine™ specifically to be different on this. Every engagement comes with a written guarantee: First qualified lead in 21 days, or your setup fee is fully refunded. No questions asked.

Most agencies refuse to put a single dollar behind their work. I put thousands. Here’s why I can, and why you should think hard about hiring anyone who won’t.

Why Most Agencies Won’t Guarantee Anything

The dirty truth of the agency model is that most marketing agencies aren’t confident they can deliver results in any specific timeframe.

A typical agency takes on too many clients, hands each one to a junior account manager who’s juggling 8 to 12 accounts, runs templated campaigns, and hopes the volume makes up for the lack of attention. That model produces clients who are sometimes happy and sometimes furious. The agency hedges by refusing to commit to any specific outcome on any specific date.

When you read agency contracts, watch for the language. “Best efforts.” “Industry-standard performance.” “Subject to market conditions.” These phrases exist because the agency knows it can’t promise anything specific.

That’s a tell. It means they’re not confident in what they’re selling you. So they sell you a process and let you assume the outcome will follow.

What I Guarantee, Specifically

The BADASS Growth Engine™ guarantee is intentionally precise:

  • What: Your first qualified lead, generated through the system we build for you
  • By when: Day 21 of the engagement
  • What happens if I miss: Your full setup fee is refunded. No paperwork. No “let’s just give it another month.” Refund.

A “qualified lead” is defined in the proposal we sign before any work starts: a homeowner in your service area, with a project type you take, with a stated budget at or above your minimum job size, who has either booked a consultation or actively requested one. Not a click. Not a “lead” that bounced. A real human raising their hand for your business.

The 21-day window isn’t arbitrary. That’s the time it takes to get a complete system live: Google Ads + Local Services Ads, conversion tracking, a landing page, GBP optimization, and (in Revenue Engine and above) the CRM and missed-call text-back. Once those go live, qualified leads start coming in within days. Read why most remodeling Google Ads campaigns don’t work for the technical reasons most accounts never get there.

Why I Can Stand Behind This

The reason I can guarantee 21 days is that I’ve done this build many times. The components are known. The sequence is known. The result, when the build is done correctly, is predictable.

Most agencies can’t guarantee 21 days because they don’t actually run the build themselves. The senior person sells you. A junior account manager builds your campaigns. A different junior optimizes them. A third person handles your reporting. None of them owns the outcome. None of them is incentivized to push hard for Day 21 results.

I run every account personally. Audit, build, optimization, reporting. Same person, every step. When I commit to Day 21, I’m committing to my own calendar. There’s no “team” to blame if it slips. Either I deliver or I refund the setup fee.

The other reason: my track record makes the bet defensible. Over 10 years of paid advertising, I’ve managed more than $68 million in ad spend and generated over $560 million in revenue for clients across home services, B2B, and B2C. The pattern of how a remodeling Google Ads + LSAs build performs in the first 21 days is well-established. I’m not guessing.

What’s Actually Happening in Those 21 Days

Here’s the build cadence for a Pipeline Accelerator engagement, which is the simplest tier:

  • Day 1 to 5: Audit your current setup. If you have an existing Google Ads account, I review every campaign, ad group, keyword, and conversion. If you don’t, I build from scratch. Either way, you get a written breakdown of what’s broken and what’s getting built.
  • Day 5 to 7: Conversion tracking goes live. GA4, Google Tag Manager, call tracking. Without this layer, every dollar spent later is a guess. Read more on why call tracking is non-negotiable for remodeling businesses.
  • Day 7 to 10: Your landing page goes live. Built specifically for remodeling consultations, not a generic “contact us” page.
  • Day 10 to 14: Local Services Ads profile verified and live. Google Business Profile optimized (categories, services, photos, posts, reviews surfacing).
  • Day 14: Google Ads campaigns fully live with proper keyword targeting, negative keyword discipline, and budget pacing.
  • Day 14 to 21: Optimization and the first leads start flowing.
  • Day 21: First qualified lead delivered (this is the guarantee bar).

Revenue Engine and Market Dominator tiers add more layers (CRM, automations, additional ad channels) but the Day 21 lead guarantee holds across all three.

The Honest Caveat

The guarantee covers what I can control. There are two things it doesn’t cover, and I’m upfront about both before any contract is signed:

1. I can’t guarantee a job. I guarantee qualified leads. Whether you close them depends on you, your sales process, your pricing, and your follow-up. If your close rate is 5 percent, I can deliver 20 qualified leads and you’ll book 1 job. That’s a sales problem, not a marketing problem. I’ll point it out, but fixing it is on you. Read what a good close rate for remodeling consultations actually looks like for the benchmarks.

2. I can’t guarantee results if you won’t fund the ad spend. The system needs $1,500 to $3,000 a month minimum in ad spend on top of the setup. That money goes directly to Google, not to me. If you can’t or won’t fund that, the guarantee is void because the system can’t run.

These aren’t loopholes. They’re the two preconditions every honest agency should name before taking your money.

Who This Isn’t For

I turn down clients who:

  • Won’t commit to a 90-day minimum (the guarantee is for the setup; the engagement is built to compound from there)
  • Won’t share account access (I can’t audit or build without it)
  • Want to control ad copy, targeting, and creative decisions personally (then you don’t need an agency, you need a tool subscription)
  • Want a guarantee on jobs or revenue (those depend on too many things I don’t control)
  • Have fired three or more marketing agencies in the past two years (pattern, not coincidence)

If any of those apply, the guarantee won’t help you. Better to know now than after you’ve signed.

The Next Step

If you’re a remodeling business owner doing $500K to $5M a year, average project value above $15K, and you’ve been burned by agencies before, the guarantee is what makes the next agency relationship safe to try.

Book a free 30-minute Lead Flow Audit at bad2badass.com. I’ll review your current ads, lead sources, and missed revenue, and give you a written breakdown of what I’d fix and what it would cost. No pitch unless you ask.

The guarantee starts when you sign. The audit costs you nothing.
